The handmade brief

Every year on Handmade Day at Shillington, every student is scrambling to bring their crazy vision of remixed album art, book covers, or tv/movie posters to life. I chose to remix SZA’s amazing album Ctrl because it really captures the unique difficulties of being a twenty-something, ranging from handling complex relationships to just hanging onto friendships. I wanted the cover to say something about the notion of millenials being “the party generation,” while also acknowledging the anticlimactic moments and solitude that we often experience in our daily lives.
