a logo for the boys of eado

For this super fun project, I was tasked with giving the talented local band East of Eado a new logo. Having decided that their previous logo was not legible or distinguishable enough from afar, they made a point to provide distinct references of iconic band logos that they felt were more their style and more recognizable.

With them having provided strong typographic references like the logos of Two Door Cinema Club and The Who, I worked through twelve different typeface options with the band before we found the right one – a retro font inspired by classic Italian films and the art deco movement. Dynamic, yet firm, the new logo really captures the unique and vibrant sound of this up and coming band.
